Job Description

Your Role:

The Head of Broad-based Compensation is responsible for developing, designing, maintaining, and implementing Invesco’s broad-based compensation programs.

As a key member of the Total Rewards team, the Head of Broad-based Compensation will work with key stakeholders across the company’s regions and functions. The Head of Broad-based Compensation will bring significant expertise in the development and execution of compensation programs that attract and retain talent across multiple functional areas and disciplines in a competitive landscape. Lead the strategic review, design, implementation, and communication of the Invesco broad-based compensation programs.

You will be Responsible for:

  • Ensuring that compensation programs support corporate strategic objectives including competitive pay, global internal consistency and good corporate governance.

  • Overseeing all compensation planning and review processes from start (budget and timeline drafting) to finish (employee communication).

  • Researching and using data to provide strategic input for compensation structures for new geographies/new job profiles

  • Leading with an eye for process optimization and proper documentation

  • Partnering with Market data providers and Talent Management to stay in front of compensation trends

  • Providing direction, coaching and development opportunities for compensation team members

  • Evolving and managing quarterly incentive accrual processes, working closely with the Finance and Investment Performance Oversight functions.

  • Leading survey participation strategy and managing submissions of data to a variety of surveys on compensation elements.

  • Continuing to align compensation within a larger global rewards framework, with a keen eye to the market and with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

  • Managing the maintenance of the Invesco Job Architecture and ensure global alignment in leveling with respect to compensation programs and eligibility, as well as for purposes of career advancement, promotional practices and global consistency.

The experience you bring:

  • Significant leadership experience in compensation at a company of scale and complexity similar to Invesco

  • Demonstrated understanding of the strategic, operational and financial components of a global investment management or financial services organization

  • Oversight and deep technical acumen in each area of compensation and strong familiarity with relevant vendors, recordkeeping systems, and emerging best practices in each area for the attraction and retention of the workforce of the future.

  • Track record of designing and implementing strategies and policies that advance the talent management goals of the organization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an in-depth financial analysis background

  • Ability to influence peers, managers, and employees through relationships rather than authority., and to build trusted relationships across the organization and throughout the system.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization and build consensus and influence positive business outcomes.
