Job Description
Your Team
Invesco Solutions is a team of 165+ individuals managing / advising over $175 billion in multi-asset and custom mandates. As part of this team, the Client Investment Solutions team works closely with investment teams, both within Invesco Solutions and throughout the broader firm, distribution, product, and other groups to advise clients on investment strategy, commercialize existing investment capabilities, and develop new investment solutions as needed.
Your Role
Reporting to the Head of Client Investment Solutions, North America, the Portfolio Specialist will provide account management and business development support for the Invesco Solutions team spanning institutional and retail intermediary clients in North America. The role will require a high level of written and verbal communication, project management, and analytical skills as well as a strong work ethic. Collaboration both within the Invesco Solutions team and with other investment centers throughout Invesco is critical.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Understanding client objectives and constraints and incorporating them into portfolio recommendations for asset allocation and implementation
- Monitoring investment capabilities throughout the firm and working with respective Invesco teams to effectively commercialize them and incorporate them into client portfolios
- Coordinate the construction of customized solutions for clients, balancing client needs and preferences with the firm's AUM and profitability targets, by working closely with colleagues in investments, product management, relationship management, etc.
- Liaise with relationship teams to drive investment idea generation for new and prospective clients, prioritizing investment capabilities with the greatest scale, efficiency, and profitability
- Represent Invesco Solutions with current and prospective clients, presenting investment content and thought leadership in person and virtually as needed
The Experience You Bring:
- At least 7-10 years in solutions and / or client-facing asset management roles
- Proven track record of understanding complex investment concepts and explaining them effectively to audiences of varying sophistication / familiarity with subject matter
- An accountability mindset which takes ownership over complex problems, projects, and client opportunities, works effectively across teams / functions, negotiates with and influences others to deliver results, and responds to feedback
- An ability to handle nuance and navigate complex situations involving a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong academic credentials, including a bachelor's degree and an advanced degree highly preferred
- A CFA designation or demonstrated commitment to the completion of the CFA program, is preferred.
