Job Description

The Team

Distribution Intelligence is responsible for increasing data driven decision making at Invesco. The group works mostly with EMEA and Americas Distribution and Marketing teams to help increase net sales through a better understanding of our clients (financial advisors). It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization, and in-field implementation. While the team is not new, there is a distinct focus on restructuring the talent through training and recruiting as well as redefining the vision and engagement model with the rest of the organization. In short, it’s an exciting place to be at for self-starters who want to set and own their paths forward.

You Will Be Responsible for:

  • Work with the Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics and collaborate with marketing partners and digital team to define and develop differentiating go to market analytics features and frameworks.

  • Work with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs.

  • Generate insights about the efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing efforts and help refine them accordingly.

  • Provide performance monitoring of decision systems and statistical models.

  • Capture metrics on business outcomes (particularly those related to new capabilities) that are accurate, relevant, logical, and honest. Validate measurement approaches with the analytics team.

  • Utilize business and technical requirements for KPI measurement and evaluation of campaign success.

  • Help to uncover any incremental data engineering and feature engineering capabilities required to support customer centric analytics and visualization.

  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, prioritize work, analyze interdependencies, and deliver against deadlines.

The Experience You Bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience working with/interpreting predictive model outputs and guiding activation activities in a corporate or consulting setting, preferable in a B to C or customer centric environment.

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative field considered an asset (i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Business Communications)

  • Certificate program in digital analytics will also be considered.

  • Experience socializing complex to non-specialist audience across all levels of seniority.

  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis

  • Strong knowledge of data management tools (Alteryx, Google Cloud Platform, Medallia)

  • Intermediate SQL knowledge – e.g. case statements, self joins

  • Comfortable in using data visualization tools (Data Studio, Adobe Workspace, Power BI, Tableau, and Datorama)

  • Strong knowledge of media math and KPIs

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Analytics

  • Experience working in B2B marketing considered an asset.

  • Intellectual curiosity, along with problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $65,000 to $70,000 annually.
