Job Description

The Junior Analyst III position is an opportunity to work closely with investment teams. The candidate will provide critical support to all local and international Investment Professionals with regards to the global trading and portfolio management process. This role will report into the Front Office Operations (FOO) Senior Manager. This role can be located in either Atlanta or New York.

You will be responsible for:

The Front Office Operations Junior Analyst III will support one or more of the five practices of FOO which include (1) Investment Platform Management, (2) Portfolio Monitoring, (3) Trade Implementation, (4) Client and Product Lifecycle, and (5) Regulatory and Policy Implementation.

  • Review trading models and implement equity and fixed income securities trades and monitor trade execution

  • Communicate with investment portfolio management teams, global trading team, compliance, technology, and investment services teams

  • Produce, validate, and analyze reports/information needed by front office teams across the globe

  • Reconcile, investigate, and resolve discrepancies at the transaction, position, and security level in various front office applications

  • Review and respond to any pre/post trade compliance warnings related to trading activity

  • Monitors all portfolios to ensure weights are consistent with the desired portfolio and client specific limits

  • Maintain shared investment models and portfolio model summaries including monthly processing and reporting, data verification, and scenario testing at the request of the investment team

  • Manage cash balances and currency exposures according to portfolio manager targets​

The experience you bring:

  • A college degree in Finance or Economics is preferred

  • Solid understanding of various asset classes (Fixed-Income, Equity)

  • Knowledge of investment business, buy-side processes, and investment products

  • Experience in front office applications is preferred (Aladdin, CRD, Bloomberg)

  • Aptitude for rapid adaptation to new systems/software

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications; experience and ability to write and create macros and cohesive documentation

The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $65,000 to $75,000 annually.
