Job Description

Your Team:

The Investment Technology team are responsible for applications services across research and portfolio construction, fixed income, performance and risk, real estate, private markets and EMEA ETF and UIT.

About the Role:

To provide business analyst capabilities to technology projects that Invesco has deemed important to the success of achieving their business goals. To analyze business needs for efficient and cost-effective software systems and/or business processes and to facilitate the design, testing, implementation, & support of systems in accordance with company methodology. The role within the Performance Measurement Squad is focused on aggregating fund, benchmark, and composite performance data from a variety of business critical sources to provide an accurate picture of performance, across multiple time periods and multiple currencies.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Capturing and analyzing information on existing business processes & technology architecture in order to make recommendations that seek to improve these practices

  • Providing business analysis during all phases of a project

  • Run small to medium sized projects and take a lead role when needed on small projects or specific elements of larger projects

  • Analyzing and documenting requirements for improvements to systems and / or business processes

  • Reviewing requirements and designs with relevant partners to acquire approval of proposals

  • Coordinating or assisting in user testing, ensuring issues are resolved in a pragmatic and appropriate manner

  • Assisting in the design and implementation of ongoing support arrangements for delivered systems

  • Working as part of a project team, reporting progress and raising issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful

  • Creating cost and time estimates along with project plans to enable prioritization and execution to completion

  • Investigating third party vendors or systems as needed

Requirements for the Role:

  • Proven years validated experience developing the skills required for the business analyst role

  • Demonstrated ability implementing Snowflake, Eagle PACE, Performance, or equivalent product, preferred

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and use of structured business analysis techniques including; carrying out business process reviews and/ or production of business requirements

  • Practiced skill analyzing business or technical problems and proposing and implementing solutions

  • Experience creating detailed test plans and executing test cases

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Project and Office

  • Solid ability and experience using SQL for analyzing data (SnowSQL, PL/SQL Developer)

  • Exposure to Python

  • Broad knowledge of systems and business processes in use for the relevant business areas including Institutional & Retail based performance
