Communications Summer Internship – Early Careers Overview
Ready to spend an unforgettable summer at Invesco alongside a select group of driven students. Our 10-week Summer Internship Program, kicking off in June 2026, offers you the opportunity to delve into the dynamic world of Communications within a global investment firm. You’ll learn from professionals, gain hands-on experience, and build lasting connections.
As part of our Summer Internship Program cohort, you’ll participate in orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. You’ll work side by side with talented teams to learn about the business and contribute to meaningful initiatives that shape our firm’s strategy.
If you enjoy crafting messages that engage and inform employees, this internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your communication skills in a people-focused environment. Today’s internal communications teams play a critical role in shaping the employee experience by delivering clear, timely, and impactful messaging. As part of our Internal Communications team, you’ll help create content and campaigns that keep employees connected, informed, and inspired. You’ll also work closely with HR to support initiatives around culture, engagement, and business resource groups. It’s an opportunity to utilize your creativity and strategic thinking to make a tangible impact on how employees experience the workplace.
What you’ll do
Draft, edit, and publish content for channels such as email, intranet, social media, and digital signage
Assist in planning and executing employee meetings/townhalls and events
Research best practices and emerging trends in internal communications to enhance our strategy
Help create visual and written content that aligns with our brand voice and culture
Partner with HR and other cross-functional teams to develop and deliver internal communications that support key initiatives
Support measurement and reporting on communication effectiveness using internal tools and analytics dashboards
Create and schedule social media content (e.g., LinkedIn posts) to highlight company culture, employee stories, and internal initiatives

Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and graduating by summer of 2027
Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
All majors are welcome, with an emphasis on Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related fields.
Creative problem-solving and ability to craft engaging content
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint for presentations
Familiarity with internal communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Viva)
Experience with social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)
Basic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (a plus)
Interest in employee engagement and storytelling strategies
Compensation for this position is $35/hour.
