Job Description
Job Purpose (Job Summary): The MBA Platform Investments & Special Situations Real Estate Intern will assist with the operations and management of Invesco’s platform investments team and asset-level special situation investments (including but not limited to structured equity, student housing, data centers, senior housing, etc.). Among others, this intern will assist in the management of existing portfolio companies and underwriting of new investment opportunities at both the asset and corporate level depending on pipeline.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Platform Investments/Special Situations Responsibilities
· Assist in the valuation analysis of potential investments in real estate related operating companies and direct real estate
· Work with the Senior Associate to build and maintain financial models
· Produce presentations, IC memos, and other relevant documentation
· Interact with portfolio companies’ teams as needed for investment management purposes
· Participate in operational and performance review updates to the Platform Investments Committee
Skills:
· Ability to work in a professional environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines at one time
· Strong Excel user
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
· Strong analytical and organizational skills
· Detail oriented
Eligibility Requirements
· Authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
· To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).
· Relocation and housing will not be included if an offer is extended.
Qualifications:
· Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program, with a graduation date of May 2027
· Previous full-time or internship experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and/or private equity preferred
· An understanding of corporate finance and relative value throughout the capital stack
The max pay rate for this fixed term intern position is $65 per hour. This role is a part of a 10 week internship program.
