As an Associate in the Data Strategy and Execution team, you will develop complex and efficient data delivery systems, identify and interpret data trends, and deliver critical, time-sensitive modeling and strategic processes. You will interact frequently with stakeholders and teammates, adhering to data processes, procedures, and documentation standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with data developers to clarify data requirements and desired outcomes.
  • Write and execute test cases for new data, communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Perform impact analysis to assess the effects of data source changes.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues efficiently.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into effective database designs.
  • Address user questions and assist with database publication and availability.
  • Summarize findings and implement recommendations for new database functionality.
  • Promote a constructive, positive team environment and support common goals.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects efficiently.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills, self-motivation, and initiative.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 4 years of experience in Credit Risk Management or Marketing Analytics in the financial industry.
  • Extensive hands-on knowledge in SQL, PLSQL, and experience with Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake etc.
  • Proficiency in SAS is required.
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Strong P&L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive results through effective thought leadership and teamwork.
  • Ability to coach and develop peers to deliver results.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Preferably credit cards experience.
  • Experience coaching and developing peers.
  • General knowledge of mortgage banking, mortgage products, servicing, default processes, reporting, and governance controls.
