Join a forward-thinking team dedicated to empowering Global Banking front office teams with secure, efficient, and seamless systems access. Be part of an innovative environment where your strategies will streamline provisioning, manage risk, and drive operational excellence across the organization. Business Operations enables Global Banking (GB) front office (banking / treasury) teams to work faster and safer, by acting as business risk advisors and ensuring strong fortress controls. The GB Systems Access & Entitlements team, within Business Operations, focuses on the risks, governance, provisioning, and monitoring of systems access—aligning to firm-wide privilege and segregation‑of‑duties standards.

As a Business Operations Associate in the GB Systems Access & Entitlements team, you will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Technology to streamline access workflows, reduce excess access, and strengthen audit readiness without adding operational friction. This is a hands-on, build‑and‑shape opportunity to modernize how access and entitlements are designed and managed across Global Banking (Commercial Banking, Global Corporate Banking, and Global Investment Banking). Your responsibilities will include closing long‑standing gaps, creating durable efficiencies, and improving our control posture in a collaborative, people‑first environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for user alignment and system entitlements across Global Banking front office and Business Operations.
  • Review and approve non‑automated entitlement requests from front‑office managers, reducing administrative burden while enforcing least‑privilege standards.
  • Translate RBAC concepts into clear, business‑friendly language; align stakeholders on role definitions, standards, and change adoption.
  • Define and evolve role criteria (RBAC, and where appropriate ABAC), establish segregation‑of‑duties guardrails, and remediate over‑provisioning and gaps.
  • Execute ad‑hoc and scheduled recertifications; monitor dashboards and reports for inappropriate access; document business justification for exceptions and close remediation within SLAs.
  • Plan coverage for transfers, backfills, and org changes to prevent access gaps and ensure continuity.
  • Own weekly transfers, user alignment, and application updates; prioritize effectively in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Analyze high‑volume access data and exception trends; build metrics and reporting (e.g., time‑to‑access, exception rates, remediation aging) using tools such as Excel and Alteryx.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Technology, and RBAC advisory teams to streamline provisioning workflows and automate repetitive tasks with standardized playbooks.
  • Prepare audit‑ready documentation and evidence; support internal/external reviews and drive continuous improvements that enhance efficiency and resilience.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Seasoned in identity and access management, controls/risk operations, and adjacent banking/technology roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC), least privilege, segregation of duties, and the provisioning/recertification lifecycle.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into simple, effective processes and controls.
  • Fluent with data, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, able to derive insights from large datasets and drive action.
  • High attention to detail with a bias for swift, accurate execution; comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to change.
  • Audit-ready mindset and ability to create documentation with clear, concise writing and organization.
  • Curious and ownership-driven approach, with a collaborative, positive attitude and team spirit.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with Alteryx or similar tools.
  • Experience with SQL/BI.
