The Lifestyles Governance and Business Operations team is responsible for leading efforts to shape operational excellence. We partner with teams across the firm, including other Card and Connected Commerce pillars, functional partners, and stakeholders from legal, risk, controls, and compliance to maintain an effective oversight and controls environment in accordance with the Firms standards.

As a Statement Credit Resolution Specialist within the Lifestyles Governance and Business Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless customer experience by investigating, triaging, and executing missing statement credit inquiries, production issues and cardholder credit completeness initiatives You will work closely with product, operations, and customer service teams to resolve issues related to statement credits, ensuring timely and accurate processing for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve cases where customers have not received expected statement credits from Chase Offers, using logs, databases, and transaction records.
  • Prioritize and categorize incoming inquiries based on severity, customer impact, and root cause, ensuring efficient resolution and escalation when necessary.
  • Develop and deploy backend solutions to process and apply missing statement credits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Identify patterns and systemic issues leading to missing credits, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement long-term fixes.
  • Build and maintain tools and scripts to automate investigation and remediation processes, improving operational efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of investigation steps, resolutions, and process improvements.
  • Work closely with product managers, customer service, and other engineering teams to communicate findings, share insights, and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or relevant field
  • Strong proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and data analysis.
  • Experience in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior experience working in credit card, payments, or financial services environments, with a strong understanding of statement credits, transaction processing, and customer remediation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to resolve credit discrepancies and production issues.
