As a Compliance and Operations Risk Test Director in the Testing Center of Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the testing strategy across various business lines, ensuring alignment with regulatory and firm requirements. Your expertise in risk management and control testing will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating risks, thereby enhancing compliance and operational risk management. You will be expected to make independent decisions that significantly impact operations and financial management, while also leading large teams and managing service delivery. Your proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and resource optimization will be key in driving results that accelerate our business objectives. Your role will also involve fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, interpreting regulatory requirements, and effectively communicating risk reports to various management levels.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies across various business lines, ensuring alignment with regulatory and firm requirements.
  • Oversee complex testing initiatives, utilizing advanced knowledge in risk management and control testing to identify and mitigate unmitigated risks.
  • Make independent, strategic decisions that significantly impact operations, financial management, and compliance, based on in-depth analysis and expert judgment.
  • Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders, interpreting regulatory requirements and effectively communicating risk reports to various management levels.
  • Manage large teams, setting professional standards, and ensuring efficient service delivery, while also contributing to the longer-term plans for the area to fit within broader functional and organization strategy.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in leading and implementing comprehensive testing strategies in a financial institution.
  • Proven track record in managing large teams, setting professional standards, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements within the context of risk management and control testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing risk dashboards to provide SMART risk reporting, communications, and presentations for various forums and management levels.
  • Expertise in resource optimization, with a focus on efficiently leveraging allocated people, money, and technologies to plan, schedule, and progress project and program initiatives.
