As an Account Specialist IV in the Unclaimed Property team, you will serve as the centralized reporting utility for unclaimed or abandoned property and assets across the firm. You’ll ensure compliance with state regulations by reporting and remitting customer property considered abandoned to the appropriate state or territory. This role is vital to meeting our regulatory obligations while providing exceptional service to our customers and business partners. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, navigating multiple technologies and adapting quickly in a metrics-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Unclaimed Property team, serving as the Subject Matter Expert
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations for unclaimed property reporting and remittance
  • Document customer account activities thoroughly and concisely
  • Navigate multiple technologies and systems efficiently
  • Prioritize work to ensure efficiency and meet business results
  • Make appropriate decisions on behalf of customers quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrate resiliency and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Uphold punctuality, integrity, and accountability
  • Approach problems logically and with sound judgment
  • Abide by all applicable regulatory and department practices and procedures
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the team

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Minimum of two years working for a financial institution with an emphasis on back office tasks
  • Demonstrates critical thinking to make well-informed business decisions
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to learn rapidly
  • Proficiency with basic computer functions, including mouse and keyboard usage, launching applications, conducting Internet searches, and maneuvering in a Windows-based environment

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of banking regulations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Capable of performing effectively with minimal management oversight
