This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in an innovation-focused team and to contribute to our Commercial and Investment Bank business. As an Associate of Product Development at PricingDirect, you will join a revenue-generating team that provides independent valuations and analytics on over 3 million fixed income, derivatives, and private equity instruments, utilizing real-time market intelligence from buy-side and sell-side market participants.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the development and enhancement of our valuation products and client engagement model at PricingDirect. The successful candidate will help drive product strategy, ensuring our offerings meet the evolving needs of our clients and align with PricingDirect’s strategic goals. This role requires expertise in financial valuations, product management, and Python.
Job responsibilities
- Support development and execution of product strategies for PricingDirect's valuation, data, and analytic services, ensuring alignment with market opportunities and client needs.
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities and enhancements to drive growth and maintain competitive advantage in the valuation space.
- Support senior members of the team with client engagement efforts at all stages of the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate meetings and scheduling with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive innovative ideas to build upon the product management client engagement model.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, sales, legal, and compliance, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand client needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the valuation sector.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product development or management within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and launching products.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of real-time market pressures, remaining focused on client needs.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous market or quantitative experience in fixed income, derivatives, or private equity.
- Software development skills in Python with knowledge of data science techniques.
- Knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and regulatory environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or Economics.
