DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Origination and execution of debt and debt-related financing transactions. International bond markets, international bank syndicated loan markets, and acquisition financing. Brazilian local capital and bank markets. Origination and execution of advisory transactions related to international debt issuance, capital structure optimization, restructuring, and project finance across all Latin America. Engage with existing or prospective clients with the objective of developing and maintaining relationships with J.P. Morgan. Identifying opportunities, marketing transactions, providing advice, managing client requests and expectations. Analyze financial markets, companies and industries performances, identifying trends, risks and mitigants. Generate and implement financial solutions for clients. Effectively communicating complex information to internal and external stakeholders. Identifying, monitoring and dealing with operational risks and regulatory requirement. Coordinate and partner with multiple internal teams and third parties during origination and execution. Lead, manage and coach different groups and individuals, including junior bankers. Collaborate with senior executives at J.P. Morgan and other global business lines to drive new ideas and initiatives. This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as LatAm DCM - Loans, Products & Alternative Financing, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Structuring, negotiating and closing the following debt capital market products: senior unsecured USD-denominated bond issuances under NY Law for corporations rated BBB- and above, senior secured and unsecured USD-denominated bond issuances for companies rated BB+ and below, senior secured and unsecured USD- denominated loans and revolving credit facilities under NY Law, subordinated USD-denominated bonds for corporations and financial institutions including Tier 2 and AT1 under NY Law, senior secured and unsecured BRL-denominated debentures under Brazilian Law for corporations and for securitization companies, BRL-denominated Cédulas de Crédito Bancário and any other type of bank loan that is not deemed a security under Brazilian Law for corporations, bond tender offers under NY Law, exchange offers under NY Law, restructuring or debt financial advisor under NY and Brazilian Laws; Originating, negotiating and closing debt capital market products previously outlined across at least the following situations: acquisition financing, project finance, securitization, direct lending, first-time bond issuance, liability management, future flow receivables, and restructurings; Marketing and executing USD-denominated bond transactions of the following registration forms: 144A, Reg S, SEC-registered, and 4(a)2; Utilizing corporate finance and accounting principles, including US GAAP and IFRS, to perform credit and financial analyses with the objective of formulating financing recommendations for clients; Applying fixed income mathematics and three- statement financial modeling for corporations, financial institutions, and projects to obtain internal approvals and provide financial advisory services to clients; Utilizing macro- and micro-economic principles and understanding of global market structures to provide recommendations and advice to clients regarding funding decisions; Understanding the capital markets financial conventions and securities laws across debt products in the U.S., Brazil, and Mexico; Originating business with C- level clients in the U.S., Brazil and Mexico; Bankruptcy proceedings and principles in the U.S., Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia; Designing and delivering professional presentations to broad audiences (10 clients or more) to pitch and execute mandates; Leading projects with deal teams composed of 5 or more people; and proficiency with the following: Bloomberg, FactSet, MS Excel, VBA Programming Language, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

Job Location: 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.

Full-Time. Salary: $325,000 - $350,000 per year.
