Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Network Support Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Network Support Engineer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Following iterative development practices using Agile methodologies such as daily stand-ups, sprints, and retrospectives to deliver software; Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures for enterprise applications; Developing and deploying microservices-based applications to enable modularity, scalability, and faster delivery cycles; Implementing Kafka for real-time data streaming and asynchronous communication between microservices; Building robust enterprise-level applications using Java EE frameworks, RESTful APIs , Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python; Integrating database interaction frameworks to support efficient data persistence and retrieval using Hibernate ORM, JPA, and MyBatis; Developing frontend applications using TypeScript for type safety and maintainability in frameworks such as React.js and Node.js; Enhancing front-end responsiveness and styling using Bootstrap; Leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, IAM, CloudWatch, EventBridge, and RDS for cloud-based application hosting and storage; Managing data storage, queries, and database optimization; Containerizing applications using Docker; Orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes for scalability and high availability; Automating CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment using Jenkins and Spinnaker; Managing dependencies and build processes using Maven; Managing code versioning and pull request review practices using GitHub and Bitbucket; Writing unit test cases using Junit, Mockito; Building integration test scripts using Cucumber following BDD principles; Monitoring application logs in Splunk; Setting up alerts for performance metrics to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real time.
