Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience in the following: Java and J2EE. This position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: AWS, Azure, or PCF for deploying and managing large- scale complex applications in the cloud; Either Angular or React for building dynamic user interfaces; Docker and Kubernetes for container management. This position requires any amount of experience in the following: Spring Framework, Spring Boot; Hibernate for ORM and database interaction; SOAP and REST web services; designing and implementing microservices architectures; domain-driven design principles to create scalable and maintainable systems; version control software GIT; Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment; Oracle and RDBMS; SQL fine-tuning; NoSQL database Cassandra; carrying out modeling and optimization for NoSQL databases; Shell Scripting; Maven and Terraform; JUnit and Cucumber for testing; performance testing using JMeter or any comparable tool; Splunk for log analysis and monitoring; identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing performance bottlenecks; fine- tuning applications for better response times; Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming; performance tuning for high throughput, low latency on multi-cluster Kafka; Apache Tomcat for deploying high-traffic, high-availability Java applications; debugging and troubleshooting including identifying and fixing memory leaks with splunk and dynatrace; working in UNIX and Linux environments; NodeJS for server-side scripting; XML and JSON for data interchange; Cloud Foundry such as PaaS solutions; performing large- scale data processing and handling high-traffic applications for real time data processing.
