DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Address a wide range of enterprise challenges by implementing machine learning techniques for data mining, data science, and behavioral analytics for quantitative research. Develop, plan, and execute analytical solutions by organizing diverse requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering results. Drive data science and analytics strategies, providing recommendations on analytical products, services, protocols, and standards across the firm. Innovate and create new methods by leveraging existing data assets or developing new ones, scale experimentation, integrate real-time data, and achieve personalization goals. Accelerate the analytics development lifecycle and enhance the dissemination of insights. Optimize queries, employing CTEs, window functions, and sub-queries. Present practical data insights in a compelling and actionable manner for senior leadership through presentations, discussions, and visualizations and interactive dashboards. Conduct data exploration and manipulation, data analysis, and data visualization. Lead and mentor a team of data analysts. Manage resources and oversee multiple projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with stakeholders' priorities and project goals. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to other JPMC offices for internal meetings or offsites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Quant Analytics Associate, Marketing Science Associate Manager, Data Analyst, Data Science Engineer, Associate System Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Quant Analytics Associate, Marketing Science Associate Manager, Data Analyst, Data Science Engineer, Associate System Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Developing and executing optimized SQL queries within Snowflake to extract and transform large datasets, enabling the identification of key insights and trends that address complex business and product-centric questions; Conducting in-depth exploratory data analysis using SQL and Python to uncover data patterns and translating these insights into actionable understanding of product performance, driving strategic decision-making; Establishing comprehensive measurement plans for A/B testing and performing advanced statistical analysis to assess the statistical significance of test results, ensuring robust evaluation of product strategies; Applying advanced statistical techniques including cohort analysis to address complex business problems, providing deep insights into customer behavior and enhancing strategic planning; Designing and building interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize data trends and facilitate data-driven insights for stakeholders; Implementing advanced statistical analysis in Excel using functions including AVERAGE, MEDIAN, and STDEV; Summarizing data using PivotTables; Performing sophisticated calculations and data manipulations using complex functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF statements, and array formulas; Conducting data exploration in Python using libraries including pandas, NumPy, and sklearn; Data analysis using SciPy; Data visualization using Matplotlib, Plotly, or seaborn; Developing executive-level presentation and visualizations using PowerPoint and interactive dashboards in Tableau or Adobe Analytics; Data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques including machine learning and behavioral analytics; Defining the analytical agenda for projects and creating structured analytical plans including assessing data needs, sourcing files, preparing data, creating new features, evaluating quality, establishing a structured analytical methodology and delivering analytical solutions.
