As a Product Director on the Chase Zelle team, you drive the vision, strategy, and execution of a platform that empowers consumers and small businesses to send and receive money instantly. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead Agile teams through discovery, design, build, test, and launch phases, manage product backlog, production support, defect resolution, and prioritization
- Define and communicate a bold, data-driven product vision and roadmap
- Mentor and develop product managers, fostering a culture of ownership and growth; collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to obtain necessary commitments and prioritization
- Develop products and services that deliver innovative experiences and at the same time remove friction from the banking process
- Lead teams to document product requirements, and communicate these requirements to the development team for the design and implementation of business solutions
- Monitor against agreed goals and benchmarks; find implementation paths for needed enhancements, and create remediation plans when needed
- Embed strong fraud, risk, and operational controls from start to finish of the payment lifecycle, work closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Operations, and more to solve critical business and customer problems
- Facilitate decision-making forums to keep teams aligned and moving forward
- Co-create launch strategies and campaigns to drive adoption and engagement, build and nurture relationships with external partners to expand capabilities
- Monitor key operational metrics and service levels for reliability and performance, publish regular executive reports summarizing the overall health of the product, industry, and competitive trends
- Coordinate with portfolio management to conduct pre-release testing, post-live validation, and automated production monitoring
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 8+ years in product management, including 5+ years in real-time or P2P payments for both consumers and small businesses
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, highly regulated product launches
- Deep expertise in fraud, risk, and claims-handling frameworks, with a proactive mindset for mitigation
- Strong experience partnering with Marketing on go-to-market strategies and campaigns
- Exceptional executive presence; strong and effective presentation skills with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
- Demonstrated leadership in hiring, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams
- Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern product discovery techniques
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in large, matrixed organizations with complex governance structures
