As a Business Banking Product Director for the Business Central Area Product, you will play a crucial role in the SMB Client & Frontline Experiences (SMB CFX) organization. You will be responsible for creating dynamic solutions that enhance connectivity across channels, boost banker productivity, and provide efficient experiences for business clients and frontline teams. In this high-visibility Executive Director role, you will lead efforts to enable banker productivity and client relationship growth, supporting SMB CFX’s mission to build trust with the frontline through innovative tools. You will collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, legal, and other business lines to define objectives and strategies, managing dependencies to deliver integrated solutions. Your role involves translating banker and client needs into scalable capabilities adopted across channels and roles. Leveraging your expertise in data products and technologies, you will guide the design and integration of advanced solutions. You will build and execute a multi-year product vision, launch innovative products, and ensure exceptional client experiences. Your responsibilities include owning product performance and applying an Agile model for delivery. Success requires influencing senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes, shaping the future of Business Central for bankers and clients.
Job responsibilities
  • Define and drive a multi-year product strategy and vision for Business Central, sequencing a multi-quarter roadmap that delivers measurable outcomes for bankers, frontline teams, and Business Banking stakeholders.
  • Own product performance across stability, scalability, and adoption; prioritize investments and enhancements to meet business objectives and improve frontline and client experiences.
  • Lead a direct area product team while providing highly matrixed leadership across Technology, Data, Design, and multiple Lines of Business and products to align objectives, manage dependencies, and deliver integrated solutions at scale.
  • Translate banker and client needs into clear capabilities, simple workflows, and experience standards that drive frontline adoption across channels.
  • Apply an Agile operating model to plan and execute delivery—owning backlog prioritization, story refinement, and release management for predictable execution.
  • Establish and track product KPIs, usage/adoption metrics, and business impact; use insights to inform prioritization and continuous improvement.
  • Guide the design and integration of solutions across enterprise platforms, leveraging data products, systems, and technologies (e.g., APIs, microservices, data platforms) where appropriate.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, Design, Data, and partner LOBs to align on trade-offs, resourcing, and sequencing of high-value initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships where applicable, including contract oversight and performance management, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Champion SMB CFX’s mission by delivering intuitive tools that build trust with the frontline and elevate experiences at every touchpoint.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in product management or adjacent functions (e.g., platform/product development, data/technology), with a track record of delivering complex products at scale in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership of multi-year product strategy and execution, including roadmap definition, prioritization, and delivery of measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven leadership of product teams and cross-functional partners (Technology, Data, Design, Legal, and LOB stakeholders), with strong influence management at senior levels.
  • Expertise in modern product operating models and Agile practices, including backlog management, story refinement, release planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong platform and data acumen; ability to partner on architecture and integration decisions and translate customer/banker needs into clear technical requirements (e.g., APIs, microservices, data platforms).
  • Measurable experience driving adoption and change—defining experience standards, simplifying workflows, and improving frontline productivity and customer outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience establishing and interpreting KPIs/OKRs, usage/adoption metrics, and financial/operational impacts to inform decisions.
  • Excellent executive communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with the ability to convey complex topics succinctly to senior stakeholders.
  • High judgment and resilience in fast-paced environments; demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage trade-offs, and make timely decisions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus (e.g., MBA), depending on candidate profile.
  • Experience leading products in a large, highly matrixed financial services or technology organization, with exposure to Business Banking or frontline enablement domains.
  • Depth in data and platform ecosystems (e.g., APIs, microservices, integration patterns) and partnering on enterprise-scale architecture decisions in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Proven track record of building high-performing product teams—hiring, developing, and coaching leaders—and driving adoption/change management across cross-functional stakeholders.
