As the Subadvisory Sales Team Client Advisor within the Subadvisory Sales Team, you will prospect, close business, and promote insurance products where JPMAM investment capabilities are embedded (via subadvised mandates). You will primarily interact with insurance company wholesalers but will also partner with Funds Management retail sales counterparts to develop relationships and seek opportunities with VA-producing financial advisors. You will cover the West Coast Territory consisting of 10 states.
Job Responsibilities
- Sell JPMAM investment capabilities embedded in variable annuity platforms by influencing insurance company wholesalers and VA-producing financial advisors
- Cultivate relationships and providing market, retirement and annuity insights
- Partner with Funds Management retail sales counterparts to identify VA-producing advisors to target in addition to current business model focused on driving cash flow via insurance wholesaler interactions
- Implement the JPMorgan Asset Management sales process which includes, profiling, inputting sales contacts/calls in customer relationship management (CRM) system, reporting results, sharing best practices, and participating in sales meetings
- Participate in the development of VA content, capabilities, and tools throughout the organization with complete integration into sales practices and processes
- Build and maintain internal resources across Funds Management and portfolio management teams, leveraging shared resources and communicating sales and marketing intelligence to clients
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Proven results and demonstrated sustainable achievement in a competitive environment (drive for achievement)
- Ability to learn and demonstrate industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace (technical expertise)
- Capacity to build relationships across entire organization and with our partner firms (strength managing relationships) as well as grow, develop and maintain working relationships with advisors
- Familiarity with financial markets, market terminology, capital markets history and economic indicators, along with equity, fixed income, international, emerging markets, currency, and alternative asset classes
- Ability to effectively leverage our global resources to drive sales results
- Focus and desire to increase and retain the firm's assets by identifying opportunities and creative solutions
- Ability to tell the "JPM story" clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way to create interest by utilizing the JPMorgan seven-step sales process
- Willingness to reside in California or Arizona and travel in territory as required
- Ability to administer, on a timely basis, required reports to the appropriate JPM areas including sales plans, call reports, and promotional programs
- Effectiveness in presenting to internal and external insurance company wholesalers and financial advisors
- Series 7, 63 and Bachelor's Degree
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Understanding of variable annuity and insurance products and platforms preferred
