Join Principal Risk Reporting & Middle Office, a global team within Risk Reporting & Middle Office that supports JPMorgan Chase's risk management strategy by monitoring, controlling and reporting key data across various risk areas. You will have significant opportunities to lead, own processes, and drive improvements, as the team supports a wide range of risk types across all businesses the bank offers.

As an Analyst in the Principal Risk Reporting & Middle Office team, you will monitor and improve data quality, produce reports used by management for business decisions, and support change in the Principal Risk requirements and approach to support stakeholders . Additionally, you will support Principal Risk framework, and you will forge strong relationships with technology, reporting, principal risk management, and the middle office functions of other risk stripes. In this team, you will have the opportunity to learn about Principal Risk principles and to assess and establish control processes in support of risk management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly exposure reviews with management-level risk partners, demonstrating the ability to explain the story behind the risk data, and serving as the central point for trend analysis.

  • Perform regular and ad hoc reports and presentations to risk managers and senior managers, including, but not limited to, exposure, limit, and stress analyses across various asset classes in Principal Risk.

  • Aggregate and analyze exposures and data-attribute changes for weekly risk meetings and monthly risk-reporting packages.

  • Maintain data quality in aggregation systems and use system tools to control accuracy of reported results.

  • Participate in user acceptance testing for Principal Risk infrastructure projects.

  • Understand existing controls and policies that are in place and execute projects to enhance the control environment.

  • Assist with documentation requirements for operating procedures, user tools, and adjustments.

  • Effectively collaborate with business partners to resolve data-quality exceptions.

  • Collaborate with technology and other stakeholders on systems, process improvements, and planned releases.

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of intelligent solutions using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Entry-level experience in reporting, financial analytics, or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related quantitative discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in particular Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating in teams and communicating across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and work independently, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver continuous improvements across all process

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience with or knowledge of intelligent solutions such as Tableau, Alteryx and UiPath
  • Background in risk is a plus
