As a Special Credits Analyst II within Portfolio Management Collections, you will be engaged in management of a portfolio of post charge off commercial loans/lines aggregate balances up to $5MM exposure for the purpose of recovering principal balance, interest and fees. In addition, you could be required to secure and liquidate collateral and initiate or continue litigation activity.

Job responsibilities

  • Negotiate satisfactory repayment schedules, settlements and liquidates remaining collateral
  • Own the litigation action and directly work with outside counsel during the process
  • Execute against judgments by identifying assets and engaging counsel to secure those assets for repayment.
  • Identify trends and improve processes for both the customer and the business
  • Manage SBA accounts which can include repayment of the guarantee and executing against SBA required operating procedure
  • Participate in depositions, mediations and attend trials
  • Foster an open working environment
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills to identify the best plan of resolution

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Working knowledge of loans and lines of credit
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment, with extensive experience in specialized accounts.
  • Five or more years’ experience in a collection environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Some experience with commercial loan collections/loss mitigation experience
  • Working knowledge of state specific statutes regarding collections, litigation and bankruptcy
  • Working knowledge of commercial loan documentation, security agreements, guaranties, and SBA
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, prioritizing work to ensure efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
