DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop comprehensive analytics to measure and challenge key business initiatives and be able to independently generate solutions. Work independently and with various teams to identify and assess performance trends, utilizing both statistical and data mining tools and quantitative methodologies. Conduct root cause analysis to provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership and various stakeholders. Prepare and present detailed risk monitoring reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of findings. Support the development and maintenance of the company's risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor internal and external behavioral data along with public information on industry trends, regulatory changes, and credit risk management best practices to continuously improve risk management processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Quantitative Financial Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics Analyst, Financial Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Financial Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as Strategic Analytics Analyst, Financial Associate, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: utilizing SAS and SQL for data mining, manipulation, structuring, design flow, and query optimization ensuring efficient data processing and analysis; creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and Alteryx to support data-driven decision-making and storytelling; designing and developing interactive reports in Excel and PowerPoint with advanced functionalities, including VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, data analysis addons, pivot tables, macros, and VBA; conducting t-tests, regression analysis, and coefficient comparisons to assess model parameters; using KS and MAPE for accuracy evaluation, and predictive performance; performing correlation analysis to identify key patterns and insights; setting up and interpreting A/B tests to evaluate the impact of changes and make data-driven decisions; managing credit risk within a financial services company; account lifecycle, including underwriting, portfolio management, and collections, to identify relevant risk considerations; key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling insights across the full account lifecycle; translating business and functional problems into conceptual analytical and automation technical architectures; conducting cost analysis, analyzing operating budgets for projects, and forecasting benefits under test and control scenarios; preparing monthly strategy reports and dashboards, and forecasting trend analysis of credit card profitability drivers, while validating the data accuracy; performing segmentation analysis and analyzing credit card customer profiles to identify key characteristics, and risk factors, enabling targeted marketing strategies and personalized customer engagement; conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate potential outcomes and assess the impact of various strategic decisions, enabling informed decision-making and risk management; managing dependencies between the First Line of Defense, product owners, and Credit Strategy, supporting effective risk management in line with risk appetite; articulating the impact of risks and issues on business functions; collaborating with execution teams to implement, validate, and monitor the quality and performance of strategies.
