Join Capital & Advisory Solutions as a Business Management Associate, supporting Direct Lending and MidCap Financial Sponsors. This role focuses on driving operational excellence across the businesses, creating synergies and redundancy between teams, and delivering actionable portfolio level data analysis to inform senior leadership business strategy. You’ll help coordinate finance and business support, partner with stakeholders across the bank, and contribute to high priority strategic initiatives. Technical and analytical skills and with a strategic mindset are preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports Direct Lending and MidCap Financial Sponsor teams, connecting Business Management and operations creating synergies across the Lending and Sponsor ecosystem ensuring redundancy across functions
  • Collaborates and partners across Business Management, front office teams (Debt Capital Markets and Financial Sponsor Bankers), Credit and Strategy to drive and communicate results, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor outcomes
  • Establishes and maintains end-to-end operating model and portfolio reporting to track Direct Lending and Midcap Sponsor deals across the life cycle of pipeline, credit decisions and closing to monitor and report on portfolio analytics and performance
  • Identifies areas for continued process improvement and efficiency by generating innovative ideas and solutions, and working with tech partners to implement strategic CRM solutions
  • Works closely with the financial planning and analytics function to track and assess business performance, define drivers of outcomes, document areas of opportunity, and execution plans to drive change
  • End-to-end executive-level portfolio level and strategic reporting

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 2–3 years relevant experience in business management, financial planning, or operations; Financial Services preferred
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders, including senior management
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to execute strategic agenda
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
  • Proactive self-starter, effective working independently and in teams, with agility in navigating ambiguity
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
