The Global Corporate Banking group is a core part of the Commercial & Investment Bank at JPMorganChase, serving domestic and international clients with revenues of $2B+ that require a sophisticated combination of traditional banking services and investment banking solutions. Within Global Corporate Banking, the North America Financial Institutions Group Banking team partners with some of the most strategically important and complex clients in the financial sector across five sectors – Banks, Insurance, Market Structure & Asset Management, Mortgage Finance, and Specialty Finance.
The Global Corporate Banking Business Management team operates in close partnership with industry-aligned banking groups, fostering data integrity, client lifecycle management, and strategic initiatives that directly support business outcomes across the platform.
As a Business Management Associate within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will serve as a key liaison between bankers, product partners, and internal stakeholders — playing a central role in data management, client coverage operations, and cross-functional reporting. This is a high-visibility role offering meaningful exposure to corporate banking strategy and a clear pathway toward advancement into a Business Manager position or broader opportunities within Finance & Business Management.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with Business Managers and industry group leads, including Group Heads, to support both tactical and strategic workstreams that help forward business performance across the North America Financial Institutions Group portfolio.
- Support core business management functions including project management, sales and management reporting analysis, and ad-hoc requests related to banker client portfolios.
- Develop knowledge of financial results and key business drivers to identify and support opportunities for business growth.
- Help manage the group's portfolio by supporting strategic targeting efforts and executing data maintenance and client transfers across lines of business.
- Engage with bankers, payments teams, and key business partners — including client service, Know Your Customer, marketing, credit risk, investment banking, and additional lines of business across JPMorganChase — to gather input, insights, and data that feed into reporting leveraged by Global Corporate Banking leadership, senior Commercial & Investment Bank management, and firmwide partners.
- Support bankers on systems and reporting tools such as Qlik and DASH, developing subject matter expertise in resulting reporting and proactively researching issues such as product revenue misalignments and client profitability analysis.
- Contribute to select Global Corporate Banking-wide Business Management initiatives under the direction of senior Business Managers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and foster efficiencies by generating innovative ideas and scalable solutions.
- Prepare clear, polished presentation materials for management, business groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- At least 2 years of professional work experience, ideally in commercial banking, business management, strategy, finance, or project management.
- Execution & Organization: Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, respond effectively to rapidly changing business needs, and forward tasks to completion in a timely and efficient manner; proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven with advanced time management and follow-up skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present updates, ideas, and requests in a professional, clear, and concise manner; proactively keeps Business Managers and stakeholders informed throughout projects.
- Problem Solving: Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify issues, gather and interpret data, build consensus, and implement change; intellectually curious with a genuine interest in understanding complex business challenges.
- Technical & Analytical Proficiency: Ability to produce accurate, error-free analysis and reporting; skilled at synthesizing large datasets in Excel and from internal systems to develop strategic conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Confident and collaborative, with the ability to partner effectively with Business Managers and colleagues across the business; actively listens to feedback and proactively seeks opportunities to build dynamic internal relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with JPMorganChase internal systems (e.g., DASH, IQ, Client Central, PitchPro), data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau) and AI productivity tools (e.g., LLM Suite, Copilot, Sigma) is a plus.
