As a Securities Based Lending Analyst within the Securities Based Lending team, you play a key role in supporting clients by structuring and managing credit solutions. You will work closely with market partners to deliver high-quality lending services, ensuring transactions align with risk and credit standards. Your contributions help maintain the firm’s reputation for excellence and support our commitment to responsible lending. We value teamwork, open communication, and a client-centric approach.

The Securities Based Lending team specializes in handling high-volume, lower-risk credit transactions, including lines of credit, term loans, and standby letters of credit. You will be empowered to make decisions within your credit authority and collaborate with colleagues across the business. This role offers exposure to a broad range of financial products and the opportunity to develop expertise in the securities industry.

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze client investment portfolios and structure securities-based lending transactions
  • Price, risk-grade, and document lines of credit, term loans, and standby letters of credit
  • Review and approve new deals, amendments, and annual reviews within credit authority
  • Provide guidance to market partners on client needs and credit solutions
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and risk management standards
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless client service
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all transactions
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks
  • Support ongoing process improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Three years of private banking, asset management, or credit/lending experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • General understanding of financial markets and securities industry
  • Ability to work well in an integrated team environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with securities-based lending products
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with credit risk assessment tools
  • Prior experience in a high-volume lending environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for lending
