As an Associate in Client Profitability Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for playing a key role in delivering solutions across the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) landscape. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, partnering across Sales, Finance, and Business Management to help develop and implement client profitability models aligned to business objectives. Your insights will inform pricing decisions and influence client relationships. Sitting at the intersection of Products and Client segments, you’ll contribute to broader Payments strategy while building a strong foundation in core corporate finance concepts. You’ll also leverage firmwide data and analytics to produce clear, decision-ready deliverables for senior management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the design and rollout of Payments client profitability methodologies and growth strategies to strengthen client relationships.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Payments client profitability framework.
  • Translate complex questions into clear, decision-oriented narratives for broad stakeholder audiences.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of client profitability results and deliver recurring financial reporting.
  • Conduct variance and trend analysis to explain performance drivers.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models and analyses (recurring and ad hoc).
  • Produce executive-ready qualitative and quantitative insights with recommendations.
  • Integrate multiple datasets into cohesive storylines, deliverables, and management materials.
  • Partner across FP&A, business lines, and support teams to align reporting, planning, and insights.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Execute deep-dive analyses and ad hoc requests, identifying root causes and recommending actionable solutions.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 3+ years of relevant FP&A experience (e.g., Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance)
  • Strong technical and analytical proficiency, including intermediate Excel (building models from scratch, PivotTables, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF) and PowerPoint (creating charts/graphs; PitchPro experience)
  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving ability, with a consistent track record of delivering against deadlines and commitments
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, with strong verbal and written communication and “storytelling” capability
  • Strong stakeholder and client/customer management skills, with the presence and leadership to engage effectively across teams and levels
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment across partners
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong time management and prioritization; able to remain clear-headed and effective under tight timelines
  • Collaborative, curious, and thoughtful critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior leadership

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Financial services experience, with a proven ability to partner effectively across cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Cognos, Alteryx, Databricks, and Tableau.
  • Understanding of capital and expense management, including allocation methodologies.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred.
  • Experience operating in agile, project-based environments, delivering both recurring and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and enhancing efficiency and data quality.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting and board-ready materials.
