As a Director of Site Reliability Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms and Foundational Services (IPFS) organization,, you are constantly establishing new collaborative partnerships that allow your team to work across functions. Proactively engage team members, initiate career conversations, and delegate assignments and opportunities equitably.
Job Responsibilities
  • Guides stakeholders through complex projects with broad direction to ensure work is executed according to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements, proactively anticipating team needs and removing road blockers

  • Leads reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment across reliability operations and delivery practices to improve speed and quality of outcomes, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.

  • Applies both cross-functional technical and business knowledge and leadership acumen to multiple technical areas and disciplines

  • Identifies opportunities to initiate operational changes across areas of responsibility and partners with leadership to drive change and innovation

  • Sets organizational expectations for AI-assisted operational decisioning and automation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency, security, and compliance standards.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise

  • Experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technological issues and engaging team members effectively

  • Experience leading leaders/teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment, including validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.

  • Ability to set governance expectations for AI-assisted recommendations (e.g., review/approval and escalation paths) aligned to resiliency, security, and auditability outcomes.

  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent and influencing team culture by championing innovation and change for success

  • Ability to express complex ideas with appropriate level of detail

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience working at code level
