As a Product Director in Enterprise Communications Platforms Product Line, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. The Collaboration and Communication Product Line at JP Morgan Chase is responsible for engineering, developing, and supporting modern enterprise-wide solutions that allow our global workforce of over 300,000 employees to effectively collaborate and communicate internally and with our global client base.
We are looking for a Meetings and Video Services Product Area Lead to join our Enterprise Communications Platforms Product Line, with responsibility for our world-class communications products. These include our core Meetings platforms (including Zoom & WebEx) including AI and integrations services, as well as our video-on-demand and associated video editing and processing services.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
- Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
- Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
- Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
- Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
- Defines and communicates product vision and strategy in line with the customers’ long-term business goals. Prioritizes the product backlog and maintains a vision for the product
- Oversight of Product Managers within the group and driving Engineering, User Experience, Product Security and SRE/TRE backlogs and delivery
- Conduct market research and tracks industry developments with regards to productivity, collaboration, data, AI/ML solutions and understands implications to product vision and strategy
- Identifies market need, interfacing with line of business technology customers as needed to define the scope and position of the product
- Defines and manages product performance metrics, including cost, feature delivery, risk posture, and reliability, while maintaining product definition, roadmap, and customer-facing SLOs/SLAs
- Drives go-to-market and strategic marketing initiatives, engages senior stakeholders and customer advisory boards, and champions strong risk management practices throughout the product lifecycle
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
- Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Demonstrated success in a product management role with an emphasis on delivering collaboration solutions to the enterprise
- Proven experience providing roadmaps, product overviews, reports, backlog, and documentation for enterprise technology solutions
- Knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Understanding of software development methodologies and practices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts to a senior management and customers
- Proven experience of building strong, cohesive partnerships with key stakeholders
- Builds strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery outcomes
- Writes clear, structured technical user stories and documentation in JIRA/Confluence using industry-standard frameworks and notations
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Recognized thought leader within a related field
- Preferable experience in direct operations, engineering or product experience managing voice, video, meetings and collaboration platforms and toolsets
