As a Real Estate Specialist in the Valuation Services Group, you support real estate valuation risk management by coordinating appraisal-related service requests from intake through delivery. You help ensure requests are complete, accurately tracked, and progressed within service timelines while partnering with internal teams and appraisal/review professionals. You will also support invoice processing and vendor payment activities with a strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and confidentiality.
Job responsibilities
- Process appraisal-related service requests in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Triage and stage incoming requests to support timely completion and ensure files are complete and accurate before work begins
- Partner with internal business teams to support timely handling of requests for individual transactions and portfolios
- Track request status and workflow progress, maintaining accurate and timely updates in queue and workflow tools
- Identify quality or completeness issues, document findings, and coordinate next steps to keep work moving
- Process invoices to support complete accounting records and timely vendor payments
- Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate complex or unusual items to the appropriate parties for resolution
- Promote a client- and service-oriented culture by proactively addressing internal stakeholder needs
- Gather feedback from appraisal/review partners and stakeholders to improve service quality and turnaround times
- Learn and stay current on applicable policies, procedures, and operational workflows to improve accuracy and consistency
- Contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives aligned to your skills and experience
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated experience in loan production support (residential or commercial) and/or appraisal or valuation operations support
- Working knowledge of appraisal/valuation terminology and end-to-end workflow
- Experience managing work through shared queues and workflow tools, including timely progression and accurate status updates
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests across multiple systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to execute well-defined processes in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based, shared-service operating model
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet service targets and reprioritize as deadlines shift
- Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information
- Sound judgment to identify exceptions, document issues, and escalate when required
- Experience using appraisal management and/or valuation workflow systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with appraisal governance concepts such as independence, review discipline, and policy adherence
- Experience supporting operational process improvements
- Experience supporting invoice processing, vendor onboarding, and/or accounts payable workflows or systems
