As a Finance & Business Management (F&BM) Vice President in Retail Banking, you will serve as a trusted advisor to regional leaders and senior stakeholders, supporting key financial decisions and strategic execution. You’ll lead business reviews, identify trends across core performance metrics, and drive data-backed initiatives that improve productivity and expense discipline. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, coordinating across functions to deliver clear recommendations and executive-ready materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Advise Regional Directors and senior stakeholders as the primary finance point of contact for decision-making and performance discussions
- Deliver actionable insights by analyzing regional and market performance and translating findings into recommendations and proposals
- Lead regional business reviews using key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Drive bottom-line performance through disciplined expense management and productivity initiatives
- Partner with Finance, Technology, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to influence and implement strategy, automation, and platform improvements
- Monitor core Retail Banking performance metrics such as balance growth, acquisition and retention, employee and customer experience, and branch productivity
- Collaborate with Operations and Technology to help design future-state workflows and implement tools aligned to evolving market needs
- Coordinate with regional and national partners (e.g., staffing, HR, operations) to execute divisional and cross-functional initiatives
- Lead cross-functional workstreams and support national initiatives to improve execution consistency across regions
- Represent the business in internal forums and working groups, ensuring alignment and follow-through on decisions
- Prepare clear, executive-ready materials and updates for senior leadership audiences
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Experience partnering with senior leaders in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to synthesize large datasets into clear conclusions
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to deliver executive-level updates
- Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to build effective working relationships across multiple functions and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Prior business management/COO experience and/or strong product knowledge in a consumer or retail banking context
- Experience driving automation, reporting enhancements, or process improvements across teams
- Experience leading cross-functional workstreams spanning finance, operations, and technology
- Experience with data visualization and workflow tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx or similar)
- Comfort presenting complex topics to senior audiences and influencing outcomes without direct authority
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Track record of delivering measurable performance improvements (expense, productivity, or operational execution)
