This executive will lead the unification of merchant acceptance, B2B claim payments, B2C payables, and value added services into an integrated platform serving providers, payers, patients, and healthcare suppliers. This role partners closely with executive leaders across Technology and Engineering, Product Design and Research, Sales and Relationship Management, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, and Operations to deliver measurable growth, improved client outcomes, and resilient execution in a regulated financial institution environment. It also works in tight coordination with Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Information Security, Privacy, Model Risk (as applicable), Third-Party Risk, and Internal Audit to ensure end-to-end control integrity. Externally, the leader will engage strategically with healthcare ecosystem partners including payers, providers, practice management and patient engagement platforms, clearinghouses, technology vendors, and channel partners, as well as key clients and industry stakeholders (per role scope).

Key responsibilities

  • Set portfolio strategy and investment roadmap: Define multi year strategy, target segments, and differentiated value propositions; translate into a prioritized roadmap balancing growth, margin, client experience, and risk adjusted returns (per role scope).

  • Drive disciplined product management: Own discovery through lifecycle management, including validation, pricing/packaging, business cases, and performance metrics across channels and client types.

  • Modernize and simplify the platform: Lead modernization priorities and portfolio rationalization; reduce operational friction while ensuring reliability, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

  • Own commercialization and revenue outcomes: Partner with distribution/relationship teams to grow volumes, expand wallet share, and improve retention; establish segmentation, pipeline enablement, and partner/alliance strategy.

  • Embed governance and controls: Partner with risk, compliance, legal, and operational risk to integrate controls into product design and change management; ensure incident management, remediation, third party oversight, and audit readiness.

  • Scale operating cadence and leadership: Build and retain senior product talent; run rigorous quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, and performance management tied to product health and financial outcomes.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Senior product leadership experience building and scaling payments and/or fintech portfolios with clear accountability for P&L, commercialization, and operating performance.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare payments workflows and stakeholders (providers, payers, patients), including incentives, economics, and operational realities (per role scope).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams (product, design, engineering, operations, data, commercial) and deliver complex platform initiatives at enterprise scale.

  • Proven executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills, including driving decisions on trade offs, investments, and risk posture.

  • Experience with pricing, packaging, and enterprise go to market motions, operating effectively within mature risk and compliance frameworks.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Merchant acceptance, B2B payables/claim payments, and B2C payables (per role scope).

  • Familiarity with integrated healthcare billing/payment channels, payment facilitation models, and ecosystem interoperability.

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • Background operating within a large, highly regulated financial institution environment.
