Job summary
As a Credit Support Analyst Credit Coordinator in Commercial Solutions, you coordinate end-to-end closing activities for complex commercial loan facilities for auto dealership clients. You partner with bankers, underwriters, legal counsel, and third parties to collect and validate due diligence, support documentation, and help ensure loans close in accordance with approved terms.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the primary coordinator for loan transactions, managing tasks required to document and close approved loans.
- Review credit approvals and confirm closing actions align with approved terms and conditions.
- Collect, track, and validate due diligence items, escalating gaps and risks as needed.
- Coordinate entity review, including organizational documents, authority evidence, and good standing verification.
- Order and review lien and public record searches (for example, Uniform Commercial Code searches) to support collateral position and perfection.
- Coordinate ordering, receipt, and review of title work, surveys, appraisals, environmental reports, and flood determinations, as required by the loan structure.
- Coordinate receipt and review of insurance documentation and other required third-party reports.
- Evaluate information received to confirm collateral requirements and closing conditions are satisfied.
- Identify, manage, and communicate vendor, documentation, and process risks that could impact closing quality or timelines.
- Communicate with clients as directed by the banker managing the relationship and provide responsive status updates to stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting commercial loan closings, including documentation and due diligence coordination.
- Knowledge of commercial loan products and the end-to-end lending process from approval through closing.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations impacting due diligence, loan documentation, and collateral perfection.
- Ability to review closing packages for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to approved terms.
- Strong attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, research, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Reliable attendance and consistent follow-through on commitments.
- College degree, paralegal background, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 1 year of compliance experience, including flood insurance requirements.
- Experience reviewing commercial loan documentation for complex structures.
- Experience with commercial real estate title work and survey review.
- Experience supporting construction lending documentation and closing requirements.
- Experience supporting lending solutions for auto dealership clients (for example, floorplan and acquisition financing).
