J.P. Morgan Securities is looking for an Associate NYSE Floor Broker to join its equities trading team on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The role is execution-oriented, partnering closely with teammates across equities trading, with an emphasis on strong coordination with our electronic execution capabilities and Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) platform for algorithmic execution, liquidity solutions, and low-latency trading workflows. This position requires daily attendance on the NYSE trading floor in lower Manhattan. Prior experience is welcome but not required.
As the associate in our Equities Electronic Trading team, you will support J.P. Morgan's agency and principal trading at the NYSE and help deliver seamless, high-quality execution and trade support. You will work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong judgment, attention to detail, and comfort operating across both "high-touch" and "low-touch" workflows, while developing familiarity with J.P. Morgan's broader equities execution toolkit, including electronic execution and post-trade analytics (e.g., execution-quality review / TCA concepts). You will work closely with various business partners across the Global Equities Sales and Trading organization to deliver innovative solutions for our clients and have the opportunity to build strong cross-functional relationships.
Job Responsibilities
- Navigate and utilize NYSE Broker Systems for both high-touch and low-touch trading, client order routing, and risk management
- Work closely with other members of the J.P. Morgan trading team to meet each client's unique needs regarding trade execution and trade support
- Host clients and other firm guests on the NYSE trading floor during market hours
- Build familiarity with J.P. Morgan's equities electronic execution capabilities, including algorithmic execution and smart order routing concepts, and support coordination between floor execution and electronic workflows when needed
- Produce in-depth analysis of product usage, client trends, trading performance, and revenues to drive product evolution
- Maintain working knowledge of equities trading, market structure, and the regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to all relevant requirements
- Maintain internal data, documents, and CRM applications
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of equities experience or equivalent, including at the NYSE or in Algorithmic Trading/Smart Order Routing
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify liquidity trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure and make sensible decisions by considering the risk factors involved
- Comprehensive understanding of equities execution products, market structure, and the regulatory landscape
- Ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients
- Series 19 (NYSE Brokers Exam), 57, 7, and 63 registrations or willing to obtain within the first 90 days of joining the firm
