The Defined Contribution Investment Only team is responsible for distribution of JPMC’s investment products within retirement record keeping solutions looking for investment placement solutions. This team is also responsible for finding placement opportunities within our start-up and small to mid-market 401(k) solution in partnership with advisors that are approved to participate in those available record keeping solutions. JPMC delivers various services and products to over 2.7mm small businesses. This individual will deliver a differentiated set of tools and insights that enables the advisors to help their client’s build stronger retirement plans that lead to better outcomes for participants.

Defined Contribution Investment Only Internal Client Advisor – Position Overview:

• Responsible for driving 401(k) pipeline and sales growth in a specified geographic region in partnership with approved advisor firms and dedicated teams within our focus and prospect lists.

• Engage with advisors to best align activities with shared goals to optimize business results through a collaborative partnership that promotes the benefits of JPMC investment only, 401(k) plan recordkeeping solutions, and develops strategic prospecting plans to grow territory sales.

• Prepares and delivers investment analytics and client proposals in partnership with advisors from Initial thru Finals stage, and offers resource guidance on our full suite of participant education resources.

• Effectively manages multiple facets of the sales process including meeting coordination, product comparisons, proposals, pipeline management, trade-tracking, follow-up items/activities, etc.

•Engages advisors with effective engagement from point-of-sale through the duration of the sales process to close.

• Partners with retail fund Internal and External Client Advisors to ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to planning and managing the territory, pipeline and promotion of referral activity.

• May assist in maintaining client relationships, collaborating with JP Morgan Recordkeeping sales peers and service members, product team members, etc. as needed.

The candidate will have:

  • 2 or more years financial sales experience, experience selling over the phone needed
  • Proven track record of success in selling Investment Management and/or Retirement plans and maintaining relationships
  • Proven success with multi-tasking and staying on top of priorities
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the client and marketplace (technical expertise)
  • Capacity to build relationships across entire organization and with our partner firms (strength managing relationships)
  • Familiarity with financial markets, market terminology, capital markets history and a general understanding on the retirement space.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively leverage our global resources

Candidate must also demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including:

  • Ability to drive sales results
  • Focus and desire to increase and retain the firm's assets
  • Drive to exceed activity and manage multiple territory priorities
  • Ability to tell the "JPM story" clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way to create interest by utilizing the JPMorgan sales process
  • Ability to grow, develop and maintain working relationships with advisors
  • Proficiency in the use our customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Effectiveness in presenting to financial advisors

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Licensing:

  • Required have or be able to obtain within the first 120 days Series 7; Series 63 (or 66)
