Title: Repair Technician (I)

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Position Summary

As a Depot Repair Technician, you will work in a factory environment with other technicians repairing and testing computer equipment and peripheral devices. The preferred candidate will be high energy, a quick learner, interested in computers and willing to get their hands dirty working on computer hardware. You will learn how to troubleshoot and repair computers and computer parts/peripherals in this role. This role is a great entry point for anyone wanting to get into the computer industry with limited or moderate computing background. NCR employs thousands of engineers and many have started out in this entry level position.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Follow standard work instructions and standard operating procedures accurately
• Inspect your work to ensure the highest level of workmanship quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Replacing defective computer components and testing equipment
• Other job related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to operate tools like a screwdriver
• Able to lift 20lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Able to work standing or walking for 8-10 hour shift (breaks every 2-4 hours).
• Ability work a schedule of 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working on computers and electronic assemblies
• Experience with Lean, 5S, Six Sigma (Yellow/Green/Black Belt Certification a plus)
