Position Summary:

As a Network Engineer at NCR, you will be part of a global team responsible for architecting, standardizing, and deploying new infrastructure technologies including Software Defined Networking, High Density Wireless architecture, and Network Security. In this position, the engineer will be working directly with corporate and internal lines of business to support growth through project-based initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties are project work which includes integrating remote offices of acquisitions

  • Communication with the project team, internal customer, and remote networking groups to understand requirements for integration

  • Design and implement Network Infrastructure solutions using Cisco products to support corporate or business initiatives

  • Design, implement, troubleshoot, and document Cisco networks for remote integrations

  • Collaborate with your team to align infrastructure standards for architecture and configuration to meet corporate requirements

  • Participate in planning of new technologies to drive infrastructure that aligns with the strategic roadmap

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Computer Science/MIS fields or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing network design and deployments in a large corporate environment

  • Expert knowledge of Cisco switches (latest Catalyst and Nexus), and wireless environments (latest WLCs and APs)

  • Expert knowledge in using advanced switching technologies such as VPC, VDC, HSRP, PBR, and MAC Security

  • Experience configuring Cisco ISE in a multi-switch model environment

  • Experience with Infoblox for IPAM, DNS, and DHCP

  • Strong skills using monitoring and infrastructure tools such as Cisco DNAC, CMX or Solarwinds

  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, DHCP, SNMP, etc.)

  • Excellent Communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Strong action orientation, attention to detail, and drive for results are a must

  • CCNP Certification

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Expert skills in designing and deploying high density wireless environments to support upwards of 75% reduction in cabling infrastructure at the desk

  • Experience with SDWAN technologies such as Velocloud

  • Experience with DNA-C leveraging automation and orchestration to push standard configurations and to use plug in play for hardware deployments

  • Strong Project Management skills

  • CCIE Routing and Switching
