PayPal serves 30 Mn+ businesses that range from solopreneur to large merchants. We have the opportunity to address these needs beyond providing payments by helping small businesses address additional top pain points like finding new customers, paying suppliers and employees, managing business cashflows, among others. We have modernized our platform to allow SMBs to adopt any / all of our products via a single integration or workflow. To help us achieve these goals, we are seeking to build / buy / partner to add solutions that address the needs of our small business customers . We are seeking a strong, seasoned leader to join our team as VP, Value Added Services, which will help PayPal achieve those goals.

Job Description:
- Understand the small business segment and their needs
- Ability to evaluate build / buy / partner for each solution
- Strong point of view on how to sequence value added services
- Work with the product team to have the value-added services we offer work seamlessly with the existing products in the portfolio
- Own & accelerate growth by leading efforts to deepen engagement with existing base, reduce churn, scale existing target markets and unlock new use cases combining product, sales and marketing into a holistic VAS strategy & narrative.
- Drive step-function improvements via strategic initiatives across the full funnel of the product lifecycle and go-to-market activities (e.g. product, marketing, sales, account management).
- Represent and own the ‘voice of the customer’ and target market approach across the business unit.
- Cross functional collaboration:
- Partner closely with Product on our roadmap to ensure we’re building the right solutions for our current and future target markets.
- Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure we are meeting our collective goals across adoption and revenue.
- Influence cross-functionally across Product, Design, Sales, and Growth to drive alignment on strategy, narrative, and priorities.
- Work closely with GTM on how to bring our value-added services to market and create adoption and engagement - includes pricing, positioning, hero products
- 12+ years of leadership experience in fintech, payments, or financial services companies that cater to SMB customers
- Good understanding of SMB merchant needs in US and Europe
- Experience leading business functions that require coordination of many stakeholders and cross functional teams
- Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and roadmap for large scale products
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
- Global Experience a Plus
- Ability to navigate highly matrixed environment
