Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a talented, creative, and passionate Cryptographic Engineer for a challenging opportunity to develop the next generation of Cryptographic Services with our HSM Team. As a direct contributor, you will specialize in building high-performance environments to support PayPal's current and future offerings. You will collaborate in the design, development, and participate in the ongoing support of these services. As a self-motivated and enthusiastic member of our team, you will work with extremely talented peers in a fun environment, pushing the performance bar on modern Cryptographic Services that are highly scalable, reliable, and emphasize high-availability Hardware Security Modules (HSM).

Job Description:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-availability HSM environments to ensure robust security and reliability.
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and provide operational support for high-performance cryptographic services in test environments and production datacenters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop cryptographic solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Participate in the ongoing support and maintenance of cryptographic services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Rapidly prototype and experiment with new technologies to deliver next-generation cryptographic services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members on cryptographic processes, key management, and standards.
• Continuously improve and optimize cryptographic services to enhance scalability and reliability.
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in cryptographic engineering and physical HSM environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-performance, scalable cryptographic services.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for pushing the performance bar on cryptographic services.
• Hands on experience with AWS HSM, AWS KMS, or GCP KMS.
