Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy Development: Own the strategic roadmap for merchant acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention across global SMB segments.
- Audience Targeting & Segmentation: Lead the definition and prioritization of ICPs and TAMs, ensuring deep alignment between audience insights and go-to-market execution.
- Lifecycle Marketing Enablement: Guide the creation of end-to-end journeys that integrate messaging, channel planning, and conversion optimization.
- Performance Management: Partner with Analytics and Product Marketing to set OKRs, track KPIs (e.g., CPA, CVR, ARPU, LTV), and continuously refine programs based on data and testing.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to PMM, Campaigns, Product, and Data teams to drive scalable go-to-market motions.
- Channel Strategy Expertise: Bring fluency across SEM, Paid Social, Display, Email, Programmatic, SEO, and Owned properties to shape the right mix for each initiative.
- Innovation & Experimentation: Champion test-and-learn culture by designing and scaling growth experiments to unlock new opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of global strategists, ensuring alignment with business goals and building a culture of ownership and excellence.
- OKR Development: Own the development and tracking of OKRs and KPIs across acquisition, activation, and retention programs, ensuring growth efforts are measurable, goal-oriented, and aligned to business priorities.
- Analytics Owner: Partner closely with Analytics and PMM to turn insights into action—translating performance data into clear optimization paths, new experiments, and scalable GTM plays.
- KPI Dashboards: Champion a data-driven culture by embedding KPI dashboards and reporting rituals across the team, driving accountability and continuous improvement across all growth initiatives.
- 10+ years in B2B or SMB-focused growth marketing, product marketing, or strategy roles
- Deep experience building and managing global acquisition, engagement, and retention programs
- Proven track record in building high-performing, cross-functional teams and GTM programs
- Expert understanding of lifecycle and funnel marketing best practices
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable growth strategies
- Experience owning or influencing marketing budgets at scale ($XXM+)
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Knowledge of financial services, commerce, or SaaS preferred
- Passion for serving entrepreneurs, small business owners, and the makers who power the global economy
