Communications Business Partner for Large Enterprise and Merchant Platform Group. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic communications professional to serve as head of Large Enterprise communications to lead internal and external communications for PayPal’s global Large Enterprise and Merchant Platform Group, directly supporting the general manager who runs this line of business, as well as his leadership team.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall communication strategy, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Lead the design and execution of high-impact communication projects to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize communication opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of communication programs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with communication regulations and standards.
  • Drive innovation in communication practices and tools, staying ahead of industry trends.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic communications professional to serve as head of Large Enterprise communications to lead internal and external communications for PayPal’s global Large Enterprise and Merchant Platform Group, directly supporting the general manager who runs this line of business, as well as his leadership team. In this role, the ideal candidate will define the external narrative of how we’re innovating and growing this business, and execute a thoughtful plan to amplify that work among key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have run communications for a line of business previously and specifically have experience in merchant communications. Critical to this role is business acumen and a deep understanding of how to translate complex financial and payments concepts into compelling narratives.

As part of the Corporate Affairs organization, PayPal’s Merchant Communications team is responsible for sharing the company’s B2B story and business performance to key stakeholder groups, including employees, customers, partners, media, and investors. We partner across the company with teams such as employee communications, finance, government relations, marketing, legal, along with functions that build programs to support our mission and enhance our merchant reputation.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Merchant communications to support internal and external communications for PayPal’s global Large Enterprise and Merchant Platform group. This role will drive awareness of PayPal’s products built for global enterprises and strategy to meet the needs of today’s merchants. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Director of Merchant Communications, along with our Merchant Communications team to raise awareness and drive impact both internally and externally.

This role will report into PayPal’s Sr. Director, Head of Merchant Communications.

Responsibilities:

Executive Communications:

  • Lead executive communications for business leaders within PayPal’s Large Enterprise business, developing communication strategies that align with leadership vision and business objectives

  • Craft talking points, presentations, and communications for various internal and external engagements ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with company strategy

  • Develop an external communication strategy to enhance visibility and reputation as a thought leader on key trends impacting global enterprises

  • Help curate executive LinkedIn and social strategy to engage with key audiences and raise visibility positioning PayPal as a leader in commerce

Internal Communications:

  • Develop and implement internal communication plans that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's technology vision and business priorities

  • Manage internal platforms and channels to facilitate transparent and effective communication within the organization

External Storytelling:

  • Develop and execute external communication strategies that showcase the company's merchant story to media, partners, customers, industry influencers, and the broader public

  • Drive thought leadership initiatives to promote PayPal’s Large Enterprise offerings, B2B innovation, and talent driven by key trends, industry insights, and market dynamics

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling content, including articles, blog posts, and sponsored content

  • Cultivate brand advocates within the organization and empower them to share our merchant story through various channels.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate, finance, or B2B/merchant communications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex financial concepts to various audiences

  • Experience working with C-level executives and a deep understanding of executive communication strategies

  • Track record of successful thought leadership and external storytelling campaigns

  • Familiarity with current communications trends and a passion for supporting businesses through innovative approaches

The US national annual pay range for this role is $137,500 to $236,500
