The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Summary:

As a Growth Marketing Analyst, you will drive data-informed decision-making across Venmo's lifecycle, paid media, and partnership channels. This role sits within the Growth Marketing team and serves as the strategic bridge between marketing and our analytics partners—ensuring data translates into action. You will own the marketing-side analytics process: shaping requests, synthesizing outputs, and delivering performance narratives that drive decisions. You will also serve as the business owner of our measurement requirements, representing marketing's needs as we evolve our attribution, incrementality, and reporting capabilities.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with media agencies on launch plans, optimization roadmaps, and budget alignment
  • Work with creative teams to define roadmaps, review proposals, and ensure seamless execution
  • Activate co-branding campaigns, product launches, and report results to leadership
  • Drive churn experimentation strategy, including ideation, testing, and customer experience evaluation
  • Write experiment briefs, testing plans, and coordinate end-to-end implementation
  • Monitor experiments post-launch, identify insights, and optimize in-flight results
  • Manage budget reporting, including agency costs and incentive payouts, for all campaigns

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Responsibilities

  • Own weekly and monthly performance reporting for Marketing, synthesizing data from multiple sources into clear narratives with actionable recommendations

  • Partner with channel and product marketing leads to analyze campaign performance, identify trends, diagnose issues, and surface optimization opportunities

  • Develop visualizations and presentations that make complex data accessible to marketers and leadership

  • Manage the analytics request pipeline for Growth Marketing—scoping briefs, clarifying requirements, and ensuring analyses are set up for actionable outcomes

  • Partner with Marketing Analytics, Marketing Effectiveness, and Product Analytics to translate their outputs into marketing strategy and action

  • Serve as the business owner of marketing measurement martech requirements, ensuring our technical needs are clearly defined and represented in roadmap discussions

  • Identify patterns across campaigns and channels that inform investment decisions and test design

  • Support marketing planning with data synthesis, scenario modeling, and performance benchmarking

  • Build frameworks and documentation that enable marketers to self-serve on routine data questions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or marketing strategy roles—ideally in consumer fintech, payments, or digital commerce

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (Python or R) for data exploration and validation

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar)—you can build and modify dashboards, not just consume them

  • Proven ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and translate it into strategic recommendations

  • Working knowledge of marketing measurement: attribution, incrementality, cohort analysis, and how these connect to business decisions

  • Excellent communication skills—you can build a narrative from data and present it clearly to marketers and executives

  • Experience working in matrixed environments, partnering with analytics teams you don't directly manage

  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing metrics (engagement, retention, LTV) and omnichannel measurement challenges

  • Exposure to Marketing Mix Modeling or econometric approaches to marketing measurement is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
