Job Description:

At EnerBank, the Collections Recovery Clerk is responsible for all aspects associated with collection administrative and clerical processes. This position manages Recovery accounts after charge off, and works with the Collections Manager to establish settlement and repayment terms along with EnerBank collection attorneys through the legal collection route.

EnerBank USA, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and other organizations (with networks of home improvement contractors) to develop customized white-label loan programs to help them increase their sales as well as attract and retain top dealers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Processes recovery payments as authorized either by ACH payment setup or online payment
  • Assists in distributing and sorting of mail, processing and coding of all recovery checks, coding of legal and recovery invoices and billing
  • Establishes contact and setup repayment terms on low balance charge off accounts
  • Assists in review of reports for updated status on recovery and legal accounts
  • Documents and reviews recovery accounts with payment agreements and updates any changes of legal status in collection system notes
  • Assists in daily requests with collection attorneys, gathering additional loan documentation and case management
  • Performs skip tracing
  • Assists in locating UTL accounts
  • Monitors charge off accounts for settlements and or paid in full status and submits AUD requests to update credit status and have account then purged off system

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of collections or related experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • This position is only available onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah. Post training period a hybrid schedule of in office and offsite work is possible.
  • A full time schedule of 40 hours, Monday through Friday during business hours is expected.
  • A monthly bonus incentive on top of base hourly pay is available to earn for all associates in this role.
  • Additionally, offers made to qualified, external candidates will include a $2,000 sign on bonus! (internal associates and re-hires are not eligible for the sign on).

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum:

$37,440.00 USD

Median:

$43,700.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
