At Regions, the SBA Portfolio Management Analyst is responsible for providing proactive credit servicing and management of servicing actions, from booking and funding through on-going servicing for the Regions SBA Portfolio. This position serves as the on-going and final evaluation point for SBA loans, reviewing loan terms and conditions, completing SBA guaranty evaluations, financial statement spreading, Global Cash Flow spreading, and SBA Guaranty Request Package’s along with the coordination of SBA Servicing Center decisions. The SBA Portfolio Management Analyst will execute various credit servicing activities, including tickler management, updating borrower and global spreads, and formal documentation of Ongoing Monitoring and Periodic Assessment actions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages an assigned portfolio of SBA loan accounts.
  • Services loans including, but not limited to annual review of loans, loan modifications, quarterly problem asset reports on loans not transferred to a workout specialist, SBA Viability Reviews, SBA Litigation / Liquidation Packages and SBA Guaranty Request packages for submission to SBA
  • Manages relationship portfolio risk by utilizing a broad group of business and commercial sources
  • Collaborates with business development and the customer to gain the necessary documents to analyze the credit request and deliver a credit memo on a timely basis
  • Applies a full understanding of the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), SBA Loan Servicing and Liquidation Procedures (SOP 50 57 2) and Servicing and Liquidation Actions Lender Matrix
  • Serves as SBA liaison for the PAM Group to remain in SBA compliance on relationships transferred to workout specialists
  • Prepares ongoing monitoring packages and periodic assessment packages
  • Evaluate and approve draw requests, ensuring that all required documentation is submitted and acceptable, per Regions' and SBA loan policy guidelines
  • Analyzes deal memo to ensure key SBA criteria such as credit elsewhere, equity injection, nature of the business & request, etc. are appropriately addressed
  • Spreads borrower interim and year-end financial statements and prepares Global Cash Flow
  • Spreads and analyzes guarantor financial information
  • Prepares certain sections and appendices of Credit Approval Packages and coordinates with closing team to approve post-decisioning required underwriting documentation
  • Uses insight as initial point of deal evaluation to identify trends that may result in further evaluation of processes and/or training needs

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Two (2) years of SBA experience, commercial loan underwriting, financial analysis or portfolio management experience

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

50th Percentile:

$80,200.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
