At Regions, the Problem Asset Management (PAM) Workout Specialist manages numerous clients simultaneously with a portfolio scope directly related to experience level.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develops for execution the client strategies identified during the on-boarding process
- Interfaces with counsel, reviews documentation for adequacy, and takes necessary steps for repair
- Ensures correct risk rating is identified and applied
- Takes responsibility for client relationships and serves as key client contact
- Estimates losses associated with strategies to determine best alternatives
- Negotiates to improve Regions’ position via collateral, guaranties, etc.
- Renegotiates, grants extensions or modifications and administers trouble debt restructuring with clients
- Manages litigation efforts, including foreclosure, suit on guarantors, etc., as appropriate
- Collaborates with team leader and manager to ensure team performance meets internal standards and complies with internal and external guidelines and regulations
- Collaborates with team leader and management to ensure specialists are equipped with the proper tools to efficiently conduct business
- Offers guidance and advice to junior specialists for the sake of continuous improvement
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field
- Eight (8) years of experience in commercial banking and/or real estate lending
- Five (5) years of experience commercial loan workout
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to learn additional systems as needed
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
- Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
