At Regions, the Quality/Process Improvement Analyst develops and implements programs to establish and maintain quality standards of existing products and services, as well as developing programs that focus on quality improvement. This position solves complex problems, works with limited to no supervision, is considered a subject matter expert, and may serve as team lead to lesser experienced analysts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conducts pre- and post- performance analysis that ultimately enhance and improve risk mitigation processes
- Measures and compares current processes with identified procedures and policies, monitors processes, and provides management summaries with recommendations for error prevention
- Promotes best practices and implements solutions
- Create project plans, timelines, critical paths, and milestones
- Leads multiple large scale projects and initiatives that may have many internal and external dependencies and higher levels of risk
- Assures ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Reviews the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- May advise executives and senior leadership on the continuous improvement strategy and tactical details
- May perform data manipulation and analysis required to support performance metric monitoring of controls and project outcomes
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with eleven (11) years of quality assurance, audit and/or operational business unit experience
- Or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with seven (7) years quality assurance, audit and/or operational business unit experience
Preferences
- Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma transformation principles, approach, tools, and techniques
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to create highly collaborative and credible relations within all levels of the Bank
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into application/operational recommendation(s)
- Advanced critical thinking skills with ability to evaluate alternatives and present solutions
- Advanced experience with project management methodologies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with project management software (ex: Microsoft Project)
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks and projects
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
