At Regions, the Credit Products Flood Insurance Specialist will be responsible for assessing and validating Make, Increase, Renewal or Extension (MIRE) events in the Corporate Banking Group for adequate flood insurance in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA). Each event is reviewed for completion and accuracy of flood due diligence in a fast pace, regulatory and compliance-focused, production environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages and completes flood due diligence items in a timely and accurate manner
- Works with system of record to ensure accuracy
- Obtains and evaluates all relevant information used in completing Flood Zone Determinations
- Calculates and determines adequate flood insurance coverage requirements
- Validates proper life of loan monitoring is in place for correct client
- Acts as the main point of contact on flood insurance and coverage requirements
- Evaluates claim research performed in response to borrower submissions by following established processes and procedures and includes reviews of client histories, imaged documents and information available from systems of record and other sources
- Serves as an emerging subject matter expert on flood regulations
- Establishes partnership with line of business associates and consults on issues related to flood regulations
- Conducts research of laws and regulation that impact the business
- May work on basic projects with assistance and oversight of senior staff
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five (5) years of related loan documentation and processing experience
- Proficient knowledge of flood insurance requirements
Preferences
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous experience working with flood insurance in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA)

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
