At Regions, the Corporate Tax Specialist provides administrative support to the tax department, including the preparation of tax-related materials.
Primary Responsibilities
- Distributes mail to appropriate Tax teams and/or associates
- Maintains a tracking system for tax notices and requested refunds
- Handles Tax department electronic and paper file retention
- Coordinates mailings related to tax filings
- Prepares basic tax workpapers and tax returns
- Performs general office tasks to contribute to smooth operations for the Tax department, including maintaining supplies, coordinating meetings, and other duties as necessary
- Manages calendar, expense reporting, and travel arrangements for the Head of Tax
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) year of experience in administrative roles, preferably in a financial or tax environment
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail in data-entry and document preparation
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and intellectual curiosity
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
