At Regions, the Compensation Analyst assists in the implementation and administration of compensation programs. Analysts at this level are accountable for regular reporting or process administration. Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Works independently to administer Regions wage and salary administration programs
- Handles all administrative tasks relating to job creation, set up and recordkeeping
- Creates and maintains job families, job summary descriptions and data maintained at the job level
- Performs job audits and researches pay practices and trends
- Provides analysis of pay structure, market based grades, and geographic differentials
- Recommends and implements associate pay structures under the guidance of manager or senior consultant
- Completes job evaluations to determine appropriate job classification in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- Performs job evaluations and assigns appropriate pay structure
- Analyzes information to develop a conceptual understanding of job descriptions, management levels and organizational structure
- Participates in salary surveys
- Works with Compensation Consultants to determine peer cuts
- Clearly documents sources, and organizes the information according to the research needs
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or Finance and three (3) year’s experience in Compensation or closely related Human Resource experience
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced Excel skills (i.e., formula’s, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail
- Must be able manage complex data sets, analyze, and make recommendations to all levels of management
- Must be able to adapt and work with a variety of situations, individuals, business leaders, and groups
- Must be able to handle completing priorities and tasks in a timely manner
- Must be able to listen, develop a consensus, and make an appropriate recommendation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving, reasoning, and analytical skills; used higher level thought process
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
