At Regions, the Private Wealth Management Credit Portfolio Analyst provides analytical support to Private Wealth Credit Portfolio Managers and field partners. This role gathers information and performs in-depth research to identify, quantify, and mitigate underwriting risk inherent in extending the bank’s capital. This role will be expected to develop strong working relationships with client management, internal teammates, credit officers, and other bankers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Reviews and recommends loan structures and credit decisions for Private Wealth Management securities-based loan products
  • Prepares credit approval packages on new and renewed credit products, including determination of the appropriate risk rating, as well as risk factors that could change the risk rating, analysis of financial performance, performance vs. projections, covenant compliance, relationship profitability (RAROC), and any other significant risk drivers
  • Provides analysis of guarantors as needed to support credit underwriting
  • Assists the Private Wealth Management Portfolio Managers with review of loan documents pre-closing
  • Reviews closing due diligence in collaboration with and oversight by Private Wealth Credit and Client Services Manager
  • Maintains credit files including post- closing items
  • Manages financial reporting requirements, covenant requirements, past dues and documentation exceptions and ensures credit files are complete with all current information
  • Assists with tickler implementation and maintenance
  • Monitors portfolio and servicing activities
  • Validates the appropriate risk rating for a company or individual and proactively identifies risk rating changes
  • Identifies opportunities for exposure reduction or new opportunities within assigned portfolios
  • Develops a strong working knowledge of and ensures compliance with internal bank commercial loan policy and credit risk

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

Preferences

  • Two (2) years of experience in banking or credit underwriting

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

50th Percentile:

$70,590.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
